Another bookish year has passed and I did accomplish quite a lot this year. I’ve never read 55 books but I wanted to read more so here I am with my record so far, one that I don’t think I will be able to beat for quite some time.
So my first challenge, just like every year, is my Goodreads.com challenge and I planned to read 30 books in 2019 so I passed with flying colours
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard was my 30th book and was read (finished) on August 1st.
Here is “My Year 2019 in Books” always on Goodread. And apparently I read 22,097 pages and my longest book was The Way of Kings (just finished in time) with 1,146 pages (and I’m checking another square on my 100 prompt challenge “Read a book with ore than 1,000 pages”) followed by Fire and Blood with 974 pages (at least the Italian version).
The highest rated book that I read is The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson which I’ve just finished so it beats Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which was the highest (why I wonder…) until I finished that book (thank goodness!) and the least popular is “Le ragazze perdute di Otter Creek” which translates with “The Lost girls of Otter Creek” or “Otter Creek Lost Girls”? (don’t know what could be since it isn’t published in English) but that’s because it isn’t well known.
Then there was the Cloak and Dagger Challenge and there, too, I passed with flying colours. I even gained a promotion from Inspector to Special Agent
