New Releases Monday #56

In this category I will publish about new books, according to Goodread.com. Meaning that I will choose a book each Monday, from the “New Releases” page @ GoodReads. I will choose random covers that speak to me, that are nice or cute, without looking at the author, genre or synopsis.

"There will be three tasks, spaced throughout the school year, and they will test the champions in many different ways... their magical prowess - their daring - their powers of deduction - and, of course, their ability to cope with danger."

The Triwizard Tournament is to be held at Hogwarts. Only wizards who are over seventeen are allowed to enter - but that doesn't stop Harry dreaming that he will win the competition. Then at Hallowe'en, when the Goblet of Fire makes its selection, Harry is amazed to find his name is one of those that the magical cup picks out. He will face death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards, but with the help of his best friends, Ron and Hermione, he might just make it through - alive!

About the book

Fourth book I read of the series (of course) and I have already started the fifth (I want to finish the series before the end of the year – 2019 – the review will be released in 2020). Now I want to read all the Harry Potter books, unlike at the beginning when I didn’t know whether to go on or not. I also liked this book, and the 5 stars are proof of it.

I still don’t understand the marketing behind this series, but I don’t understand it for Game of Thrones either, so I think it’s just me who doesn’t like a series enough to buy everything they bring out. (Just to make you understand, I don’t even have Oscar Vault, italian publisher, embellished versions of ASOIAF which is my favorite series to date.)

New Releases Monday #55

A Conspiracy of Bones

#1 New York Times bestselling author Kathy Reichs returns with a new riveting novel featuring her vastly popular character, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, who must use all her tradecraft to discover the identity of a faceless corpse, its connection to a decade-old missing child case, and why the dead man had her cellphone number.

It’s sweltering in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Temperance Brennan, still recovering from neurosurgery following an aneurysm, is battling nightmares, migraines, and what she thinks might be hallucinations when she receives a series of mysterious text messages, each containing a new picture of a corpse that is missing its face and hands. Immediately, she’s anxious to know who the dead man is, and why the images were sent to her.

An identified corpse soon turns up, only partly answering her questions.

To win answers to the others, including the man’s identity, she must go, rogue, working mostly outside the system. That’s because Tempe’s new boss holds a fierce grudge against her and is determined to keep her out of the case. Tempe bulls forward anyway, even as she begins questioning her instincts. But the clues she discovers are disturbing and confusing. Was the faceless man a spy? A trafficker? A target for assassination by the government? And why was he carrying the name of a child missing for almost a decade?

With help from a number of law enforcement associates including her Montreal beau Andrew Ryan and the always-ready-with-a-smart-quip, ex-homicide investigator Skinny Slidell, and utilizing new cutting-edge forensic methods, Tempe draws closer to the astonishing truth.

But the more she uncovers, the darker and more twisted the picture becomes…

Book Blogger Hop #11

Click the image above to know what this is about! It’s fun!

This week question:

Other than book reviews, what do you feature on your blog? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

My answer:

Right now, I write only about books so New Releases, Showcases, Book Challenges/Meme and of course Reviews. Before I started to write review, I was a graphic website? I mean I still have some downloads and tutorial here so I have those, too.
