Will Trent is undercover at Fort Knox. His assignment: to investigate a twenty-two-year-old murder. His suspect's name: Jack Reacher.
Jack Reacher is in Fort Knox on his own mission: to bring down a dangerous criminal ring operating at the heart of America's military. Except now Will Trent is on the scene.
But there's a bigger conspiracy at play - one that neither the special agent nor the ex-military cop could have anticipated. And the only option is for Jack Reacher and Will Trent to team up and play nicely. If they can...

About the Book

What I think
I never know whether to read the short stories or not. And I never know whether to review them and rate them. Because the book is too short for me to like and it is not on par with the previous books. Aside from the fact that I don’t really like undercover missions, I don’t like seeing Trent investigating on his own. The case was a bit interesting but nothing special. Maybe I’m used to the author’s beautiful descriptions that I couldn’t find here. So no, I can’t say that I liked this novella and I often wonder why the authors write short stories in the thriller genre? I can understand novellas for the fantasy genre, they may explain a side character’s point of view, or give more explanations, but, here, they are basically whole missed books. With the ideas they have for short stories, they could write a whole book. I don’t know… I repeat maybe it’s me…
This novel then involves Jack Reacher, a Lee Child’s character who is an author that I have never read. Although I did not know the character, I didn’t find it difficult to read the story, because I considered him like any other character.
