Here some example of this coloring:
1. Open an image, select the part you want to use (I usually use the rectangular marquee tool holding down the shift key on the keyboard to have a perfect square), copy it (ctrl c), open a new document (ctrl n then click ok), paste it (ctrl v), resize it to 100x100px.
2. Add a New Fill Layer: Layer –> New Fill Layer –> Solid Color… write d9dbf6 in the color palette; set this layer to mode: Soft Light;
3. Add a New Fill Layer: Layer –> New Fill Layer –> Solid Color… write f6f6da in the color palette; set this layer to mode: Overlay, Opacity: 38%;
4. Add a New Adjustement Layer: Layer –> New Adjustement Layer –> Selective Color… with these parameters:
Reds: Cyan: +100, Magenta: -100, Yellow: +100, Black: +100;
Neutrals: Cyan: +25, Magenta: +14, Yellow: -20, Black: +17;
5. Copy your base, drag it above all the layers and set this layer to mode: Soft Light;
6. Add a New Adjustement Layer: Layer –> New Adjustement Layer –> Selective Color… with these parameters:
Reds: Cyan: +100, Magenta: -100, Yellow: +100, Black: +100;
Neutrals: Cyan: +25, Magenta: +14, Yellow: -20, Black: +17;
Change opacity: 43%;
7. Add a New Adjustement Layer: Layer –> New Adjustement Layer –> Color Balance… with these parameters:
Midtones:: Color Levels: +30, -23, 16 with Preserve Luminosity checked;
8. Add a New Fill Layer: Layer –> New Fill Layer –> Solid Color… write 0f0050 in the color palette; set this layer to mode: Exclusion, Opacity: 20%;
9. Add a New Adjustement Layer: Layer –> New Adjustement Layer –> Photo Filter… write 24aceb in the color palette (check color in the ‘Use’ square; use Density 25% and Preserve Luminosity checked;
10. Add a New Adjustement Layer: Layer –> New Adjustement Layer –> Selective Color… with these parameters:
Reds: Cyan: +100, Magenta: -100, Yellow: -100, Black: -100;
Whites: Cyan: -8, Magenta: +49, Yellow: +77, Black: +10;
Neutrals: Cyan: +9, Magenta: 0, Yellow: 0, Black: 0;
And you’re done!
